Talent Development Institute

Johnson – July 8 – 13, 2007
Williston – July 23 – 27, 2007 and July 30 – August 3, 2007

A weeklong opportunity for students entering grades 1 - 9 to experience exciting and challenging learning opportunities with dynamic faculty and stimulating peers. Students will be able to choose from a variety of classes ranging from daily one hour exploratory sessions to 1 ½ hour and 3 hour weeklong strands.  Previous topics have ranged from Puppet Making to Publishing, from Programming to Writing, from Robot and Rocketship Drawing to Architectural Design, from Archeology to Oil Exploration, from Drama to Debate.

Sessions for grades 1-3 will only be in the morning.  Older students will be able to attend all day or can select individual strands.  Overnight options are available for students ten and older.

There are two locations—Johnson, and Williston.  TDI Williston’s daily schedule will be much the same as TDI Johnson, but will end with the last session in the afternoon, and not provide the overnight opportunity.  TDI Johnson is open to students entering grades 4 through 9, with a leadership option for students entering 10th and 11th grade.  TDI Williston is for students entering grades 1 through 8.

If your child is interested in attending TDI, please contact Lucy Gage Bogue, of the Green Mountain Center for Gifted Education.  The brochure and application will be available some time after February 1st.  For more information contact Lucy at lucybogue at yahoo dot com or visit the TDI website.
