Nicholas Green Distinguished Student Award –

Funding Help Needed

The National Association for Gifted Children has administered the NAGC Nicholas Green Distinguished Student Award for nearly ten years. Funding for this award was established by the Green family to honor their young, gifted son, Nicholas. This fund provides for an award, including a $500 savings bond, to a student from each state. The original funds have now run out. The NAGC is hoping to keep the Nicholas Green awards program going through individual contributions, coordinated by the state affiliates. Please consider contributing to this program, which provides rare and highly-regarded recognition for young, gifted students throughout the country. With a $250 contribution, you will receive a complimentary 1-year membership in the NAGC. Of course, donations of any amount are welcome, and can be sent to VCGE at PO Box 154, Peacham, VT 05862 (please label your check Nicholas Green Fund), or directly to the NAGC. For more information, visit the NAGC web site at www.nagc.org and select 'About NAGC' and then click on 'Awards'. You can find the names of all of Vermont's previous Nicholas Green winners through links at the bottom of that page.
